Site Accessibility
AMI.ca is designed to be fully accessible and compliant with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, level AA. The site is designed to function seamlessly with a variety of assistive technologies to ensure the needs of all online visitors are met. The website is responsive on all platforms including desktop, mobile and tablet.
Rigorous testing and consultation with members of Fable—a diverse community of accessibility professionals, each living with a disability—resulted in a simple, easy-to-use layout.
In addition to accessibility, overall user experience was paramount to the design of AMI.ca. The new website capitalizes on the AMI-player, making it easier for visitors to access content and shows have been segmented allowing users to watch a short clip instead of searching through full episodes. The Search function has been greatly improved allowing users to search all programs and categories based on subject matter such as sports, business or arts. Additionally, visitors are now able to customize both the DV Guide and the AMI program schedules based on location and cable provider.
Your experience should be fun and easy. If you are having difficulty accessing anything on our website or app, please let us know so that we can improve. Email us at feedback@ami.ca
